Michael Raphael

Michael Raphael holds a degree in economics & political science from University of Miami. He has worked for a broker-dealer in New York City, and co-founded a trading desk doing risk/reward analysis.

Michael is an MBA candidate at Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business with a focus on financial security analysis. He is a Director of Johns Hopkins Private Equity & Venture Capital Club. Michael also servers on the Index Advisory Committee for the WilderHill Clean Energy Index (ECO), which tracks solar, wind and other low-carbon energy technology companies. Additionally, Michael does consulting with the Innovation for Humanity Project where he has worked with humanitarian and business leaders in Ethiopia to study the fundamentals of providing access to safe water as a means of accelerating community development.

He has a passion for technology and an interest in business model analysis and strategic planning. In his free time he enjoys reading, playing poker, basketball, discovering new music and traveling the world with his wife.
